Events

There will be an informal dinner on the 14^th August 2009 at the Compton Bassett village hall admission will be by ticket and these will on sale before the event.

The association AGM will be held on the 15^th August 2009 at Compton Bassett village hall. The AGM will be preceded by a buffet lunch and there will be an evening meal, further detail will follow.

National Service Day

National reunion and Parade at RAF Museum Cosford on Sunday June 28th 2009 (National Service Day).

This is the largest single Service Veterans Parade in the UK, a Cat 1 MOD event and is free to all atttending.

Phil Tomaselli and I manned the Associations stand at the National Service (RAF) Associations “NS(RAF)A” Parade day, which was held at RAF Cosford on the 28^th June 2009. The salute was taken by the C in C Air Command ACM Sir Christopher Moran who we had a chance to meet when he visited the stand. Several visitors expressed an interest in membership and were given an introductory pack. We both feel that from the amount of interest show that it was a well-spent day and worth repeating next year. The previous day at the National Memorial Arboretum was Veterans Day, which was very well attended. Perhaps we could parade the association standard at both of these National days.
