About Me

Served at `Yatesbury, straight from `Bridgnorth, arriving in August '59 untill March or April `60. Was on the Bloodhound's electronics course, which was radar and telemetrics stuff. I don't remember anyone directly to mind, but I used to ride around on an old 2stroke Velocette 250 motorcycle with a tank gearshift? I was in I think "Y" lines? the north eastern corner not far from the NAFFI.

I live about 30 miles away, just along the A4, outside Reading, I have visited the site several times, even stopping by the old concrete shed where some old aircraft are being restored. one of a couple of surviving buildings on the main `school' site. arrived at yatesbury december 1955 . Left approxjune 1956 I was on a Air wireless fitters course I was in hut X59 anybody out there who was there at the same time?
