That Bristol Bloodhound gate guard was there for a purpose, as `Yatesbury provided the training for the electronics side of maintaining this misile. After completing this course, we were posted on to `Rudloe Manor' and did further courses at RAF Filton. I did the course at `Yatesbury twice, having failed the first time!! Any other Bloodhound's out there?

Hi, There is a photograph in the book " The History of RAF Yatesbury" of me standing by the bloodhound taken in 1959.

There is another at RAF Cosford museum. Phil Tomaselli

Hi Phil,

I'll have to get that book I think! There are several surviving examples of the Bloodhound, but is there any surviving trainees from these courses in here? When in `59 were you at `Yatesbury? There's not much left of it now, very sad when you remember what it were back then.
